Project in brief:
In early December 2010, the Drina region suffered enormous damage caused by the floods. Damage caused by the floods in the municipalities of the Drina River Basin was measured in millions of convertible marks. Hundreds of people were forced to leave their homes and evacuate to safety. Destroying greenhouses, barns, fields of fruit and vegetables, the floods had great impact on the local economy. With the financial support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, Help was able to offer immediate humanitarian assistance. Within this project Help delivered firewood to 102 households, furnaces to 16 households, beds for 20 households, reconstruction materials for 10 households, food and supplies for 250 people in the collective accommodation evacuated due to the flooding.
